Stonyfell – Residence
This home was built in the 1970’s in a Georgian Style with rooms of grand proportions, but lacking in cohesion.
It was decided to replace floor tiles in the Entrance Hall and adjoining Hallway with parquetry. Blackbutt in a herringbone pattern with a Jarrah Border was used together with a feature pattern in the centre of the entrance.
The plain carpet in the Lounge/Dining area was replaced with a carved patterned carpet.
A Gold Leafed Georgian mirror was installed over the mantle piece and two chandeliers added. Two sofas and a hand knotted rug were designed for the area.
The existing Dining Room Suite was repainted in and antique finish and the painted table top replaced with a stained solid walnut top.
The exterior of the home was also extensively renovated.
